A Regency period giltwood eagle convex mirror

Mainly original gilding; original glass.

Perhaps at first glance this convex doesn’t seem like that much of a big deal. It is certainly small in size, the elements are not wildly original i.e. eagle on a pedestal finial, candle-arms, etc. What sets it apart is not the design but the execution. This was made by somebody who really knew how to carve in wood. The delicacy and sharpness of the detail are exceptional.

Would be great in a small entrance hall or dining room.
